Devendra Banhart – Long Haired Child
A quick post. This cover belongs to Devendra Banhart's Cripple Crow. The Sgt. Pepper's-esque set-up displays Banhart's circle of collaborators and friends. I don't know a lot about "freak-folk", but I see Joanna Newsom in the picture, one of the other movement leaders.
The original photograph (above) is by Alissa Anderson. I haven't found much information on her, but she has some nice work on her website.
